Courses and Annual Intake
Government Medical College, Latur offers undergraduate, postgraduate and paramedical programmes recognised by the Medical Council of India and the Maharashtra Medical Council. This page summarises the courses, their annual intake and the year each programme began.
Undergraduate Course: MBBS
The Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme started in 2003 with 100 seats and now admits 150 students every year. The course is recognised by the Medical Council of India (letter MCI-34(41)/2008-Med/41502 dated 14 January 2009) and by the Maharashtra Medical Council.
Admissions are made through the national and state entrance process: the large majority of seats are filled through the state quota, with the remaining seats allotted through the All India quota.
Postgraduate Courses
Postgraduate degree and diploma courses started in 2010 with an annual intake of about 40 seats across clinical, pre-clinical and para-clinical subjects. The programme is recognised by the Medical Council of India (registration U.12012/579/2009-ME (P-II) dated 23 April 2010).

Paramedical (BPMT) Branches
The Bachelor of Paramedical Technology programme covers radiography, operation theatre technology, laboratory technology, forensic science, optometry, endoscopy, blood transfusion and community medicine, with a combined intake of 61 students.
