CME, Workshops and College Activities
Continuing medical education is a regular part of academic life at Government Medical College, Latur. Faculty members and residents attend workshops on teaching methods, research methodology, medico-legal practice and hospital safety, many of which carry credit points granted by the Maharashtra Medical Council.
Why CME Matters
Medical knowledge changes quickly, and structured CME programmes keep clinicians current with new evidence and new regulations. For a teaching college they serve a second purpose as well: they train faculty members to teach better, which directly improves the quality of undergraduate instruction.

Departments also run their own academic schedules — case presentations, journal clubs and seminars — throughout the year. Students are encouraged to attend and present from their clinical postings onwards.
